Project checklist
Bring the key information together before requesting a trade quotation. If a detail is unknown, flag it for discussion.
1. Identify each opening
Give each opening a reference. Note the product type, quantity and intended location. Include a sketch or drawing reference where helpful.
2. Record your enquiry dimensions
Use millimetres and state whether the dimensions are opening sizes or overall frame sizes. Do not assume a deduction or manufacturing allowance. Final sizes and survey responsibility must be agreed before ordering.
3. Describe how it should open
Describe the proposed layout, opening direction and access needs. State whether your drawing is viewed from inside or outside. Panel arrangements and suitability depend on the selected system.
4. Add finishes and project requirements
Include preferred internal and external colours, glazing, handles, locking and threshold requirements. Add the delivery postcode and intended project timing. These are requests for review until confirmed.
5. Review before committing
Check the written specification, drawings, confirmed price, lead time, delivery arrangements and terms before authorising an order. This checklist is an enquiry aid, not installation or surveying instructions.
